The 12-hour DUI/DWI Education Class is specifically designed for first-time offenders in Texas convicted of Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) or Driving Under the Influence (DUI) offenses, resulting in a driver’s license suspension.
Fully certified by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) and approved by DPS, this course equips participants with the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to make responsible decisions regarding alcohol consumption and avoid future offenses.
This live Zoom course is designed to fit into your schedule over three consecutive days: Session 1 on Day 1, Session 2 on Day 2, and Session 3 on Day 3. Each session is four hours long, and attending all three is essential to complete the program.
Unfortunately, make-up sessions aren’t available, so if you miss a session, you’ll need to restart the course on a new date and pay the registration fee again.

Under Texas law, the Department of Public Safety (DPS) has the authority to revoke or suspend a driver’s license if the individual fails to complete the required DWI Education Class within 180 days of their sentence. However, a suspension can be avoided if the judge grants an extension, which cannot exceed one year from the date of conviction. To request an extension, a written motion must be filed in the convicting court. If you’ve missed the deadline for completing the DWI Education Class and are facing license suspension, it’s crucial to consult with the lawyer who handled your case for guidance.
